The Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed between the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center (SRCA) of Georgia and Kutaisi International University (KIU). The document was signed by Levan Ujmajuridze, Director of the Scientific and Research Center, and Vakhtang Tsagareli, Rector of Kutaisi International University.
The Scientific Research Center for Agriculture (SRCA) of Georgia shared glimpses of the memorandum signing ceremony on its official Facebook Page on July 29, 2026, Wednesday. A small note about the ceremony was also shared along with its glimpses.
The memorandum envisages the implementation of joint scientific-research activities, the organization of conferences, seminars and trainings, the exchange of scientific information and research results, cooperation in international educational and research projects, as well as the implementation of other joint initiatives.
The event to sign the memorandum was attended by Lasha Dolidze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nikoloz Chkhetiani, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Cartu Charity Foundation, and representatives of the Scientific-Research Center.
The guests visited the collection of local varieties of Georgian grapes, scientific and research laboratories, and vine, wine, and wheat exhibition spaces at the Jighaura of the Agricultural Scientific and Research Center, visited the ongoing research activities, and tasted the samples of wines made from restored Georgian grapes and fruits produced on the base.
Levan Ujmajuridze introduced the guests to the main directions of the center’s activities and current scientific and research projects. Attention was focused on the protection of agrobiodiversity, the conservation of genetic resources, the development of innovative agrotechnologies, the production of certified seed and planting material, and international cooperation.
