Georgia: Football centers and stadiums with artificial cover will be built in 23 municipalities within the framework of the government program for sports infrastructure development.
The Ozurgeti City Hall announced this news through its social media handles via its Official Facebook Page on August 22, 2025, Friday. According to the details provided by the City Hall of the Ozurgeti Municipality, it should be noted that this was highlighted as a major step in decentralizing modern sports infrastructure across Georgia.
Football technical centers and stadiums with artificial cover will be built in 23 municipalities within the framework of the Special Program for Sports Infrastructure Development initiated by the Government of Georgia.
According to the government provisions signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the purchase of construction works will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure according to the law.

The goal of the Special Sports Infrastructure Programme is to improve the development and accessibility of sports infrastructure across the country, promote mass and high achievement sport, and further develop children’s sports.
