The Republic of Georgia known for its world-famous cuisine is the greatest attraction for food lovers across the globe. The national tourism authority will now attend the Food Festival 2024 in London. The National Geographic channel will organize the festival.
During the Georgian Tourism Administration’s participation four master Georgian wine and dish classes will be held. These classes on wines and dishes will be held at the “Master Class Theater”. At the same time under the framework of the same project two days of wine tasting and the Show Kitchen will be arranged so that the participants of the events can sample the unique varieties of Georgian wine and other traditional cuisine.
The National Tourism Administration will also participate in group discussions and other events focusing on Georgian culinary values. A dedicated event called the “Special Events A Taste of Georgia and Georgia The Home of Wine” will be held to show the world the history of Georgian wine production. The event include the participation of Georgian chefs and sommeliers who will introduce Georgian dishes and wine to the participants in detail. Georgian cuisine and Kvevari’s natural wine will be presented in a similar way.
Famous chefs Guram Bagdoshvili and Tekuna Gachechiladze on June 20 and 21 will introduce traditional and modern Georgian dishes,whereas the representative of the National Wine Agency of Georgia namely Irakli Cholobargia will organize a tasting of Georgian wine event also. The event will throw special attention on Georgia being the homeland of wine and the 8 thousand-year-old country of wine production. The Qvevri method of wine production is still practiced in many parts of the country.
The attendees will learn about Georgian cuisine, the UNESCO cultural heritage, ancient cultural values, and wine tasting. It is worth noting that the festival is known for hosting popular chefs and culinary experts from across the world.
