As per the information shared by the local administration, the traffic on Rustaveli Avenue will be temporarily restricted due to outdoor lighting works. The official said that work is in full swing, and after its completion, traffic will resume as usual.
It is to be specifically mentioned that due to outdoor lighting works on Rustaveli Avenue, the road section from First Republic Square to Freedom Square will be restricted on December 30 from 01:00 to 06:00.
It is worth mentioning that the administration has arranged an alternative route for the convenience of the travellers. As per the alternative routes, It will be possible for vehicles to travel through Leonidze, Ingorova, Alexander Chavchavadze, Griboedov, Baratashvili, and Tabukashvili streets from Melikishvili Avenue to the rest of Mtatsminda streets will be allowed through Janashia, Tarkhnishvili, Tatishvili, Chovelidze, Zandukeli streets and then Barnov, Gogebashvili and Kakabadzebi streets Beat.
Similarly to other streets of Mtatsminda district, it will be possible to reach Melikishvili Avenue and the metro station “Rustaveli” area via Griboedovi, Makashvili, Barnovi and Shanidze streets. Movement on Freedom Square will be limited only in the direction of Rustaveli Avenue, the official added.
At the same time, Cars going from Rustaveli metro station to Freedom Square on Rustaveli Avenue, after turning to the olive tree, will drive through Mikheil Javakhishvili Street and the right bank of Mtkvari.
