Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, met with the Minister of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ezazkhon Karimova, on Sunday, October 12, 2025. It is worth noting that during the meeting, they discussed the issues of deepening cooperation between them.
The meeting was attended by:
- First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Levan Tzasiashvili,
- Ambassador of Emergency Plenipotentiary of Georgia in the Republic of Uzbekistan, David Kotaria,
- Head of the Department of Strategic Development of the Ministry, Nikoloz Beselia,
- Ambassador of Emergency and Plenipotentiary of Georgia in the Republic of Uzbekistan Irakli Kvanchakhadze.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the meeting on its Official Facebook Page on October 12, 2025, Sunday. The Georgian Ministry of Youth also shared some information related to the discussions held at the meeting, along with its glimpses.
According to the information shared by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, it should be noted that Givi Mikanadze emphasized the long-standing partnership between the countries.
As he noted, sharing experiences and best practices between Georgia and Uzbekistan is important, which will further contribute to a bilateral agreement with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, the parties paid special attention to strengthening the teaching of STEM subjects in schools and the importance of integrating modern technologies in the learning process.
Moreover, the conversation was about the creation of a working group that will work regularly on the issues of the implementation of joint initiatives between Georgia and Uzbekistan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand their cooperation and made plans for this purpose. They also agreed to organize joint educational programs and exchange visits to further strengthen academic collaboration between the two nations.
