Tbilisi: Vakhtang Tsintsadze was appointed Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. Before being appointed as Deputy Minister, Vakhtang Tsintsadze, served as the head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Reforms of the Ministry since 2017.
Vakhtang Tsintsadze has been around in the administrative system for a considerably long time, therefore, he carries adequate experience and capability. He has been working in various positions in the system of the Ministry of Economy since 2009.
In particular, from 2009 to 2013, Tsintsadze worked as the chief specialist of the Economic Policy Department of Economic Analysis and Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia between the years 2013-2016.
Following this, he was appointed as the head of the Economic Policy Department of Economic Analysis and Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and since 2017 he has been the Ministry of Economic and Sustainable Development Head of the Wire Economic Growth Analysis Department.
During his work in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Vakhtang Tsintsadze was actively involved in preparing several important reforms. Some of the most notable reforms include the development of the concept of pension reform (second pillar) and evaluation/analysis of the economic effects of the reform; drafting of the public and private cooperation concept and framework legislation; insolvency reform framework legislation and the Development of Obi.
Other than these reforms, Tsintsadze also contributed towards the development of mechanisms of access to finance – development of credit-guarantee scheme design, participation in mortgage subsidies and guarantee programs, and development of alternative financing mechanisms mess.
He also actively participated in the drafting of the concept of leasing development and factoring legislation, as well as the drafting concept of leasing sector reform.
