As the whole of Georgia is celebrating the Grant of Candidate status to Georgia By the European Union, the “youth march to Europe” was held by the Georgian Dream Youth Organisation. Thousands of students and young people attended this.
It is to be specifically mentioned that on December 15, at the First Republic Square, the initiative of the Georgian Dream Youth Organization – “Youth March to Europe” was held. This was part of the celebration across the whole country as the European Council granted the status of candidate status to Georgia. This Decision of the Europen Council is seen as a way to full-fledged membership of Georgia In the family of the Europen Union.
On this occasion many dignitaries of the region took part including the Chairman of Georgian Dream Youth Organization, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Head of Service Aleksandre Mukataridze, and Deputy Chairman Guram Okropiridze who were joined by members of the organisation, youth and students.
At the same time, a representative of the Georgian Dream Youth organisation stated, “We joined today the main event on the Youth March at Freedom Square and celebrated the historic decision of the European Union to grant candidate status to the Republic of Georgia.”
They also stated that the Georgian Dream Youth Organization has always stood by the European Integration of our country and supports the Georgian government’s efforts to get full membership in the European Union.
While congratulating the citizens, representatives of the organisation said, “Once again, congratulations on the decision of the European Council, which granted Georgia candidate status a few days ago. This is the most significant and historic step towards the European path of our country”.
During the march a large number of people were waving the flags of the European Union and the Republic of Georgia. This was a reflection of the Common interest that existed between the EU and Georgia.
The whole route of the march wore a colorfull look with these flying flags. Some were also shouting slogans in favour of the Unity of Georgia With the European Union. They also thanked the leadership of the Europen Council and its offices for such a great decision that has paved the way for Georgia for Europen Integration.
There were some youngsters who had canisters in their hands; They spread different colours throughout the entire route of March. The drumbeats have added more joy on the spot as well.
It is worth noting that some young members have draped themself with Georgian flags. They seemed to be very happy. The route Streets of the march were decorated with stars.
Young girls who were part of the march were a great attraction as well as a source of inspiration.
