President Zourabichvili praises “ strength in partnership” at closing of Noble partner defence drills

Tbilisi: The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, has praised the strength in partnership between Georgian and allied militaries, noting peace and freedom can only exist when you have noble partners during the closing event of the Noble Partner multinational defence drills in Georgia

She further stated I believe that nothing can shake the power of partnership and unity. In the future, Georgia will keep on providing a noble and reliable partnership in strengthening peace in our region, the Black Sea and the world because, for peace and freedom to exist, you need to have noble partners”, at the closing event.

Along with this, she highlighted the contribution of the United States towards holding the exercise by pointing to the title of annual manoeuvres, stating it had brought all the positive notions together with the main strategic partner, i.e. the United States.

Currently, a war is enraging in Europe and in our region Ukraine, and holding multinational exercises of this scale in Georgia acquires special importance. The countries participating in Noble Partner 2022 give us the opportunity to develop and increase our readiness and capabilities to ensure a stable, peaceful and secure environment in the Black Sea region”, said Zourabichvili as she continued further.

The Georgian president extended her note of thanks to the Eastern Command of Georgian Defence Forces and the United States Command to lead the latest edition of multinational military drills.

More than 2400 servicemen from 21 countries were involved in the current year’s Noble Partner manoeuvres.
