New Greenery from the New Generation project over in Rustavi

As per Mayor Nino Latsabidze – “The project “New Greenery from the New Generation” which  was created in order to give young people the opportunity to take care of their own city, employment and economic empowerment.” Has been over.

She said that The first stage of Rustavi City Hall Ecological and Youth Project – “New Greenery – From New Generation” on Kldiashvili Street, in the newly rehabilitated square, was closed with a greening action.

She also described that many activities were carried out with the participation of local people. The completion event was attended by many, along with the youth participating in the program; it was also joined by Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze, State Commissioner of Lower Kartli Giorgi Dokhturishvili and members of Sakrebulo faction “Georgian Dream”.

Employees of Rustavi Service Center organized a workshop on the use of new special equipment purchased for the purpose of caring for green plants for the participants of the rally. These include many mini tractors and other park maintenance equipment.

6 units of special technical equipment were given to Rustavi City Hall within the framework of the EU project – “Mayors for Economic Growth” as a grant.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the One-month paid youth employment program “New Greenery – From New Generation” was co-organized by Rustavi City Hall “Art, Sport and Youth Development Center” and “Rustavservice Center”
people involved in the project have been taking part in maintaining green spaces and planting new plants for a month.

All the People at the event were happy to be part of this ocassion. Participating members planted trees to make the area more green. Along with other plants, Christmas plants were also planted by the people present at the spot.

New Mowing equipment was also given to management of Rustavi service centre.

At the conclusion of the event mayor also interacted with media persons. She thanked all the participating people and said that these initiatives will continue in future as well.
