Protected Areas Agency celebrates Georgian Independence Day in Zugdidi

The Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture celebrates the Independence Day of Georgia in the city of Zugdidi.

Zugdidi, Georgia: The Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture celebrates the Independence Day of Georgia in the city of Zugdidi.

Within the framework of the celebrations dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day, the Agency of the Protected Areas offers a variety of educational and entertaining activities to guests visiting the central square of Zugdidi.

The event is attended by Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Yuri Nozadze:

Yuri Nozadze said, “Congratulations to our compatriots on the Day of Independence of Georgia. To everyone for whom the Independence and freedom of Georgia are important. Whoever contributes to preserving this achievement and creating a bright future for the country. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture joins the universal celebration. Traditionally, we are represented in different locations and municipalities. Protected Areas Agency participates in the beautiful city of Zugdidi.”

“Visitors have the opportunity to get detailed information about the protected areas and get to know the protected areas of the Samegrelo region, which is different with its unique waterfalls and canyons. Congratulations to the whole of Georgia; come, let’s celebrate Georgia’s Independence Day together! “- said Yuri Nozadze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

In the framework of the event, the Agency of Protected Areas is represented in different areas: guests have the opportunity to travel to unique protected regions of Georgia;

Information on Georgian protected territories and national parks is presented. Throughout the day, musical and theater performances and children’s entertainment activities are held on Central Square.

Georgia’s national anthem will be performed at 17:10 o’clock, the time it was declared independent in 1918.

Celebratory events will end with the concert of Nato Gelashvili, Giorgi and Luka Chokhonelidze, Sopho Bedia, Boris Bedia, Elene Fochkhua, Marita Rokhvadze, Veriko Turashvili, the ensemble Forte, and the instrumental band Newton.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture organizes May 26 events in Mtskheta, Zugdidi, and Ozurgeti.
