Croatia: The Georgian youth and senior bullet shooters teams won gold and bronze medals at the 2025 European Youth Championship, which was held on March 4, 2025, in Osijek, Croatia.
The Georgian National Olympic Committee (GNOC) shared the snippets of the award ceremony on its official Facebook page. The GNOC also shared some information about the 2025 European Youth Championship and photographs.
According to the information shared by GNOC, it should be noted that the Georgian team won gold and bronze medals in Osijek, Croatia, where they hosted the European Youth Championship in 10 10-meter pneumatic pistol shooting.
It is also noteworthy that the girl’s team (Mariam Abramishvili, Mariam Marshava, Mariam Frodiashvili), won the European Championship in team counting with the European youth record – 1711 points. It should also be noted that this trio has been awarded the rank of current champion at the championship of the continent.
The Georgian Bullet shooters team also had success in the personal championship – Mariam Abramishvili, who won the qualifying round with 575 points, finally became a bronze medalist. In the same discipline, Mariam Marshava came in fifth place, while last year’s triumphant Mariam Frodiashvili was beyond the final.
Medals were also played in mixed doubles. The couple of Mariam Marshava and Giorgi Mumladze were close to winning the bronze medal but lost to Ukraine in a decisive match. Georgia was also represented in mixed couples by Mariam Frodiashvili and Shota Sumbadze. They finished their performance in 12th place.
Notably, Georgia at OSIJEK’s European Championship was also represented by the men’s team (Sota Sumbadze, Giorgi Mumladze, Ioane Khvareshi), but unfortunately, they did not show a bad result.
It is also worth noting the Georgian anthem was sung after the end of the mixed couples competition. It is to be reminded that last year this youth won 3 gold and 1 silver medal in the same rank competition.
