Georgia: In a special ceremony, the Head of the Defense Forces of Georgia, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, honored the Military personnel of the Defense Ministry of Georgia on February 15, 2025, Saturday.
The Ministry of Defence of Georgia shared the snippets of the event on its official Facebook page on the same day, along with a short note about the ceremonial event. It is worth noting that the award ceremony for the best military personnel was held at the General Headquarters of the Defense Forces of Georgia.
The Head of the Defense Forces of Georgia, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, awarded badges to soldiers for unique performances.
The Military personnel were awarded certificates and badges by the Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces, Major-General Giorgi Matiashvili. It is also worth noting that the soldiers who displayed outstanding performance were given exceptional awards by Major General Georgi Matiashvili.
It should be noted that, on this occasion, soldiers, namely Captain Gocha Psuturi, Lieutenant Larry Ushkhvan, Senior Sergeant Silovan Tskrialashvili, Junior Sergeant Giorgi Avanashvili, and Corporal Rati Gavardashvili were awarded.
These badges were given under the category of “Best Military Personnel”. During the ceremony, the Head of the defense Forces appreciated the soldiers for their extraordinary performance.
Major-General Giorgi Matiashvili also expressed his deep and heartfelt gratitude towards the awarded soldiers for performing their duties honorably. He also wished and encouraged the soldiers to carry on their exceptional contribution to the defense sector of the country.
It is worth mentioning that these best Troops are selected once every quarter based on a variety of criteria. The different parameter of their selection includes the level of discipline, physical and combat readiness, quality of duty performance, decision-making and teamwork.
The people of Georgia also laud the achievement of these troops. Social media was also flooded with congratulatory messages. It is noteworthy that the main goal of the project is to increase the level of motivation and combat readiness of military personnel.
