The Georgian Defense Agency hosted the “NATO-Georgia Training 2025” on Apri 28, 2025, Monday. The opening ceremony was held at the Joint Training and Evaluation Center in Krtsanisi, General Military Center.
During the opening ceremony, the NATO Military Liaison Officer Colonel Berat Telli, Deputy Minister of Defense Giorgi Liluashvili, and Deputy Commander of the Defense Forces Major General Zaza Chkhaidze congratulated Georgian and foreign military personnel participating in the exercise. They wished the participants luck in the implementation phase and discussed the value of teaching in their speeches.
In the cycle of , this is already the fourth training, which is held in Georgia once every three years. “NATO-Georgia Training 2025” is a brigade-level headquarters training with computer support, whose goal is to train multinational brigade-level subdivisions under the leadership of the GeNATO-Georgian trainingorgian side in the planning and execution of crisis operations.
The field-based component will be integrated alongside the multinational staff training, further showcasing JTEC’s capabilities in management and control and helping to refine coordination.
“NATO-Georgia Training 2025” is planned by the Supreme Staff of the NATO Europe Allied Forces (SHAPE) and the General Staff of the Defense Forces of Georgia and is conducted according to the scenario prepared by NATO, by the relevant procedures and doctrines.
17 NATO members and partner nations are participating in the multinational exercise. The countries participating in the training are:

Several international organizations and subdivisions are involved in the training. 6 initiatives defined by the NATO-Georgia Essential Package (SNGP): NATO-Georgia Joint Center for Training and Evaluation (JTEC), Military Engineering, Military Police, Military Medical Capacity Development, Special Operations Forces, and Standardization and Codification.
Within the framework of the “NATO-Georgia Training” partners will assess the capabilities of the Special Operations Battalion Headquarters and Allied Element, Military Police Battalion Headquarters and Sub-divisions, Explosive Object Discharge (EOD), Military Medical Base (ROLE2F) and First Infantry Brigade’s 12th Battalion “Charlie” Base.
