Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, hosted a delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan on an official visit to Georgia, led by the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrulaev.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the Minister’s visit on its official Facebook Page on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The Georgian Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The parties discussed ways to deepen Georgia-Azerbaijan cooperation in the spheres of education, science, and youth, and issues of implementing joint projects.
Both sides also underlined the importance of exchanging academic resources and sharing best practices between universities and research institutions of the two countries.
They noted that joint training programs, student exchanges, and collaborative innovation projects could significantly strengthen regional academic development and build long-term partnerships.
Givi Mikanadze introduced his Azerbaijani colleague to the current news in the Georgian education system and paid special attention to the reforms planned for higher education and general education.
During the meeting, the discussion covered important issues such as: ensuring the timely delivery of textbooks in Georgian and Azerbaijani language schools; strengthening support for educational integration of ethnic minorities; deepening partnership between higher education institutions and expanding already successful cooperation with ADA University.
Emin Amurlaev thanked the Minister for many years of fruitful cooperation and expressed his full readiness to implement joint educational, scientific, and youth projects.
