Georgia: During his working visit to the People’s Republic of China, Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze visited Huawei’s head office and met with the company’s vice president Zhang Cheng Tao.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of their meeting on its official Facebook Page on November 19, 2025, Wednesday. The Georgian Education Ministry also shared some information about the meeting, along with its glimpses.
The Vice President introduced to the Minister the company’s activities, latest inventions, and innovative projects, which Huawei offers to educational institutions in different countries.
Givi Mikanadze thanked Zhang Cheng Tao for hosting and focused on a fruitful partnership with Huawei. According to him, Huawei is one of the leading modern technology companies, actively involved in the development of the education system of both China and partner countries.
Special emphasis was given to Huawei’s arrangement of smart classes in Georgian schools, which is particularly important in terms of integration of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in the learning process.
The company’s vice-president positively assessed the partnership with the Georgian side and said that Huawei will donate free of charge to one of the schools in Tbilisi. At the end of the conversation, the parties agreed to strengthen the existing cooperation and implement joint projects.
Before visiting Huawei’s main office, Givi Mikanadze also visited Shenzhen Experimental School and Polytechnic University, where he attended the ongoing training process.
The meeting with the Huawei Vice-President was attended by Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Shota Rustaveli, Deputy Director General of the National Science Foundation of Georgia, Levan Karumidze, Huawei Georgian National Scientific Foundation, Lu Pengchong, and other representatives of the company.
