The employees of the Environmental Supervision Department of Georgia revealed 8 facts of illegal hunting in Telavi, Kvarli, Dusheti, and Tianeti municipalities.
Poachers illegally hunted 3 units of Caucasian Mura bear protected by “red speck”, 2 arches, and 1 coyote. The materials, for the purpose of further response, were sent to the relevant authorities.
Crews from the Environmental Oversight Department of Georgia carry out 24-hour non-stop patrols across the country to prevent, detect, and respond to poaching and other environmental violations promptly. In addition, an immediate response is made to each message received on the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture’s hotline (153).
Employees of the Environmental Supervision Department, 5 months after the opening of the flying bird hunting season, from August 23, 2025, to January 23, 2026, identified 818 violations.
