After recovery, the birds were returned to their natural habitats – the heron was released in Krtsanisi Forest Park, and the snowcock was released in Kazbegi Municipality by employees of the Environmental Supervision Department.

“An injured bird or animal found by department employees during environmental control can be the object of a violation of law. That’s why the department is studying every similar fact. An injured bird or animal will be taken to the zoo by department staff, where they are treated properly. After recovery, we return the species to the wild.
