Georgia: The Georgian national football team competed for the first time and with dignity at the European Championship in Cologne, Germany.
The Georgian national team held the eighth-final match with the Spanish team, conceding to the three-time European champion with a score of 1:4 and ending the competition for Euro 2024
The match opened in the 18th minute with Robin Le Norman’s own goal. Rodri’s goal in the 39th minute equalized the score. The first half ended in a draw 1:1. Spain was promoted by Fabian Ruiz in the 51st minute of the second half, and Nico Williams increased the advantage to three balls in the 75th minute. Dani Olmo scored the fourth ball in the 83rd minute.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, government members, Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Nikoloz Aznaurashvili, and Football Federation President Levan Kobiashvili attended the match between Georgia and Spain.
