The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Labor, Health and Social Welfare of Georgia, Mikheil Sarjveladze, and the First Lady, Tamar Bagrationi, congratulated children with disabilities in state care and beneficiaries of Tsilkani Elderly Boarding House on Christmas and New Year.
The Georgian Minister of Health and the First Lady inspected housing conditions and services for children and the elderly, wishing them health and well-being, and thanked the staff for their hard work.
The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Labor, Health and Social Welfare of Georgia shared the glimpses of the warm meeting and the inspection works on its official Facebook Page on January 3, 2025, Sunday. The Georgian Health Ministry also shared a small note about the inspection works along with its glimpses.
According to Mikheil Sarjveladze, the goal of the state is to create a supportive and dignified environment for each child and the elderly, where their well-being, health, and daily needs are taken care of, and this is one of the main priorities of social policy. Tsilkani senior boarding facility provides a dignified and safe living environment for beneficiaries.
During the visit, special attention was paid to the quality of care services, psychosocial support programs, and rehabilitation opportunities available to beneficiaries.
The Minister and the First Lady emphasized the importance of inclusive social services and continuous improvement of care standards to ensure that children with disabilities and the elderly feel valued, protected, and supported by the state.
Regarding the Tbilisi Children’s Home, in three small family houses, 21 minors are housed, which creates conditions for them as close to the family environment as possible. In the facilities, the beneficiaries are provided with 24-hour accommodation, complete meals, necessary medicines, hygiene facilities, and appropriate medical services.
Along with Mikheil Sarjveladze and the First Lady, children with disabilities in state care and in Tsilkani senior boarding house, Deputy Minister of Health Irine Tsakadze was also present.
