Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of Health spoke in Parliament about the state program “Early Detection and Screening of Diseases”. He also provided detailed information to the members of the Committee on Health Protection and Social Issues on its progress and future plans.
The Minister during his address in Georgian parliament also focused on the importance of the screening program and on its further activation and communication strategy in this direction. Moreover, minister Mikheil Sarjveladze also emphasized rapid diagnostics methods , the importance of prevention and the successful use of data from the Georgian Cancer Registry.
According to the Minister of health from Georgia the goal of the screening program is to detect diseases early and limit their spread. As Mikheil Sarjveladze noted, detecting the disease at an asymptomatic stage significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment and improves the outcome and quality of life.
The committee session continued in question-and-answer mode. The questions of the sitting members were answered by all health minister along with data from various ministries as well.
The meeting was held within the framework of the implementation of the oversight authority of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and Social Affairs for the 2025 Action Plan.
The minister also shed light on ongoing health and social project on this occasion as well. As per the minister in future budget amount of health project will be enhanced as well.
The also give details that with the coordination of various health agencies the health ministry will provide world class health services its citizens. According to minister central government is also helping the regional government for providing health services to the citizens of all the areas concerned.
