Georgia: A regular meeting of the Inter-Agency Commission for Free and Fair Elections was held in the Ministry of Justice on Monday, September 15, 2025.
The Ministry of Justice of Georgia shared the glimpses of the regular meeting on its official Facebook Page on the same day. The Georgian Ministry also shared some information related to the discussions held at the meeting, along with its glimpses.
According to the information shared by the Justice Ministry of Georgia, it should be noted that the members of the committee heard and discussed possible violations of election legislation in the media in the process of monitoring the election environment.
During the session, members of the commission also underlined the importance of transparent communication with both domestic and international observer organizations.
They highlighted that timely access to accurate information plays a key role in building public trust and ensuring the credibility of the electoral process. Also, attention was drawn to a separate incident that occurred during a protest rally near the election headquarters of the mayoral candidate.
The Inter-Agency Commission urges entities involved in the electoral process to act within the framework of law and to help conduct the pre-election period in a free and peaceful environment.
The purpose of the Inter-Agency Commission, created on the basis of the Election Code, is to prevent public servants from violating election laws, to respond in a timely manner to possible cases, and to develop relevant recommendations.
The commission is headed by the Minister of Justice Paata Salia. It includes high-ranking representatives of various government agencies, which ensures coordinated and effective work.

The Interim Committee will work and hold meetings once a week until the Central Election Commission officially announces the final results of the elections.
