Georgia: The Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) has hosted photographers from the media project “Take your seat” from Canada. The press tour was held with the involvement of the Embassy of Georgia in Canada.
The photographers participating in the tour visited Mtskheta, Stepantsminda, Gudauri, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Mestia, Ushguli, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Vardzia, Ude, Aspindza, Chobareti, Tsalka, Tsinandali, Sighnaghi and Telavi. Tourist interesting places were filmed. A photo album of Georgia’s tourism potential will be available on the Take your seat website, which is especially popular in Canada.
“Our goal is to introduce as many people as possible to Georgia’s tourism potential and the values that our country has. Accordingly, we need to diversify tourism markets and attract more high-spending tourists. To achieve this, we are currently hosting Canadian photographers. The aim of the project is to prepare a photo album about the tourism potential of Georgia,” said Medea Janiashvili, Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration.
“Take your place – it is an international project. We have already travelled to 14 countries, and now we are in Georgia. We call this chair the director’s chair, which allows you to be a director, make choices, and manage your own life. We arrived in Georgia with this chair and travelled almost all over the country. We had a very high perception of Georgia on the Internet, but after visiting the sides of Georgia and getting to know the people, we made sure that your country is distinguished by its culture, hospitality and warmth. “Happy Independence Day,” said tour photographer Randy Vanderstaren.
“We have been in Georgia for more than two weeks; we had unforgettable adventures, and we visited both big and small cities. We liked nature very much. We invite everyone to travel to Georgia with this chair that we carry with us,” said Spencer Vanderstaren, a Canadian photographer.
Photographs taken in Georgia will be published for a Georgian-Canadian photo album, which is planned to be published to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Canada.
