Tbilisi: The Georgia office of the Prosecutor has charged one person. He has been accused by the office for murder of two person. The murder took place in the Telavi district of the country.
It is to be mentioned explicitly that after the initial investigation in this regard the prosecutor’s office filed charges against one person. He was accused of the intentional murder of two people in the Telavi district which shocked every citizen of the locality as well.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia accused him not just for intentional killing of two people but also for the illegal carrying of firearms in the Telavi region and creating terror amoing the citizens.
After receiving the information, the investigation process was initiated. The investigation carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed that the accused committed the crime on July 24.
The investigation further revealed that in the village of Laliskur of Telavi municipality the accused injured two people. He injured both of them with multiple shots from a firearm and fled the crime scene to avoid liability. However due to serious injury sustained by the victim one victim died on the spot and the other was taken to hospital where he was also declared dead died .
The investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also established that on July 24, in the village of Lafankuri Telavi district the accused illegally carried two firearms registered with the right of possession and created terror here also.
As per the representative of the prosecution office the accused person has been charged under Article 109 subparagraph “l” . The mentioned section of the code mentioned that the offense of intentional murder under aggravating circumstances and Article 236 also have been imposed which explained the offense of unlawful carrying of firearms. As per the Criminal Code of Georgia if the accused is found guilty he can be punished with a sentence of sixteen to twenty years or life imprisonment.
Meanwhile based on the petition of the prosecutor’s office the Telavi district court ordered the accused to be detained under the custody as a preventive measure.
