The national wine agency of Georgia has taken many initiatives to promote Georgian wine worldwide. The agency has organised a two-day Georgian wine festal in the Famous European country Poland with the support of its contractor company, o-Lille.
The event was held at the territory of the famous historic palace Dwór w Tomaszowicach in Krakow with the involvement of the twenty Georgian wine companies. These tweny companies included the large as well as medium and small producers of the Georgian wine as well.
It is also worth to mention that the significant event was attended by local importers, HoReCa sector representatives, wine consumers, journalists, and bloggers. There were almost one thousand guests who were invited to the event to apprise them about the Georgian wines.
The representative of the national wine agency of Georgia said that such events are held to raise awareness of Georgian wine and diversify export markets in other countries of the Caucasus region and the world. There was also a musicial concert which have the performances of the Georgian singers and dancers.
Chief editor Mariusz Kapczynski who has been cooperating with the National Wine Agency for years in the direction of promoting Georgian wine while speaking on the occasion, added “This is the best way to promote Georgian wine because Polish consumers, as well as tourists, have a good opportunity to taste Georgian wine.
Moreover this is the best place for wine tasting where unique varieties of Georgian wine are presented, such as Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Saferavi, etc., as well as various methods of winemaking are presented.
Similar views were expressed by the Vinifera, one of Poland’s prestigious wine publishing houses . Notably Poland is one of the strategic export markets of Georgian wine where various marketing events are actively held during the year with the support of the National Wine Agency.
As a result Poland steadily took its place in the top five exporting countries of Georgian wine. According to the data of 6 months of the current year, 3.2 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to Poland, which is 19% increase compared to the same period last year.
