Georgia: In the second quarter of 2025, the turnover of the business sector increased by 12.5% compared to the previous year, reaching 60.3 billion. Lari is set up.

In the second quarter of this year, the business sector’s output was 23.2 billion. It was equal to GEL, which is 13.0% higher than the index of the previous year’s period and is a record indicator in the second quarter. In the second quarter, the production of large enterprises increased by 15.1 percent, while the production of small and medium enterprises increased by 11.3 percent.
It is noteworthy that the number of employees in the business sector is increasing in parallel with the growth of economic activity. In the second quarter of 2025, the number of jobs in the business sector increased by 3.3%, 25.8 thousand, and in the corresponding quarter, the record number reached 795.6 thousand.
This year, according to the data of the first two quarters, the turnover of the business sector increased by 13.5% to 116.3 billion. Up to GEL, and the business sector’s output is 43.9 billion. The Lari is 14.2% more than the previous year.
Significant contribution to the growth of emissions: the growth of emissions in the sectors of information and communication (increase 76.4%), trade (increase 8.3%), construction (increase 3.6%), transport and warehouses (increase 15.1%), and manufacturing (increase 3.9%).
In the second quarter of 2025, the average monthly wage of hired employees increased by 212.1 GEL, 10.1% and equated to 2,317.6 GEL. In the same period, compared to the same quarter of last year, jobs have increased in all sectors of the economy.
The highest contributors to employment growth were trade (up 12.0 thousand men, 5.5%); provision and food delivery (up 3.7 thousand men, 9.5%); transportation and startups (up 3.2 thousand men, 5.3%); information and communication (up 1.6 thousand men, 3.4%); vocational, scientific and technical activities (up 1.4 thousand men, 5.9%) and not working Industry sectors (1.0 thousand men, 1.1%) contributed.
