Along with the renovated school spaces, the Minister inspected one of the largest-scale projects – Borjomi Vocational College, whose construction will be completed in 2025.
“We welcome the new school year with several renovated schools and modern learning spaces where our future generation, our children, will receive a high-quality education.
Of course, we continue to actively work to improve the educational infrastructure across the country. In addition to schools, we visited the newly constructed college in Borjomi Municipality, which will provide opportunities for the locals to deepen their knowledge and upskill.
In the new college, we intend to implement innovative methods that meet world standards. As a result, those who wish will have the opportunity to master specific professions on the spot,” Givi Mikanadze noted.
Rehabilitation works of schools, as well as the construction of Borjomi Vocational College, were carried out with the financial support of the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth.
The establishment of a new vocational college in Borjomi is of particular importance in terms of increasing access to vocational education in the region.
With a state-of-the-art standards environment, the College will offer aspirants a wide range of programs, while actively collaborating with both local government and the private sector.
It is especially important that all programs offered by the College are in line with the demands of the local labor market and population. The total cost of the Borjomi College project is 9,513,505.08 GEL.
