Ozurgeti: Aleksandre Tsuladze, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia visited the public school in the village of Dvabzu. The school in village under the Ozurgeti municipality has been rehabilitated completely.
The Minister was accompanied by the Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Gela Geladze, State Trustee in Guria Region Giorgi Urushadze, Majority Deputy of Guria Vasil Chigogidze, Mayor of Ozurgeti Avtandil Talakvadze and Chairman of the Council.
All the members of the visiting delegation interacted with the school’s teachers during the meeting. It is worth noting that the full rehabilitation of the school was carried out by the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of the State Educational and Scientific Infrastructure of Georgia.
The school’s renovation project will soon begin the academic session for 2024-2025. The students of the public school of the village of Dvabzu will continue their studies in a fully rehabilitated, modern educational space in the new academic year.
The building has been fully renovated and is equipped with all the latest facilities. It can accommodate more than 120 students. The school is also adapted for students with special educational needs and for students with physical problems.
The school has already been equipped with an elevator, adapted sanitary units, and a ramp. It will also have science and computer laboratories, sports and assembly halls, a doctor’s office, a library and a canteen.
In addition the building will be fully equipped with all relevant educational resources, such as a library, online education material, etc.It should be noted that the cost of the infrastructural project of Dvabzu village public school is more than 5 million GEL.
In order to improve the school infrastructure, a large-scale construction/rehabilitation project is underway in many regions of Georgia. The construction/full rehabilitation of about 100 public schools will be completed by the end of this year as per the latest information.
