The Prime Minister’s said, our constitution clearly explains Georgia’s foreign policy and our government is working to fulfil targets in this direction as soon as possible. The constitution also required all authorities to work in this direction as well.
In addition the Prime Minister highlighted, “The opposition parties are misleading the people of Georgia. The Georgian Dream-led government is bound to take serious initiative for Georgia’s integration into the European Union.”
Moreover as per the ruling party’s constitution the government and government agencies must cooperate mutually. This will make the country’s journey easy and successful. At the same time PM also answered question about Russia. He said we still do not have any diplomatic relations with Russians who have captured 20 percent of our territories.
The Prime Minister commented on domestic matters, especially the controversy that erupted after the introduction of the foreign agents law. As per him, although the country is facing challenges regarding some specific issues our government will sort out all these issues soon.
The opposition parties have created unnecessary controversy. We have adopted the Foreign Agents Law only to bring transparency to foreign funding coming to the country. If anybody wants to promote the revolution in Georgia with foreign funding, we will not allow this at any cost.
While similar family law was there to curb unnecessary propaganda, it has been noticed to curtain citizens’ human rights, which are also part of the Georgian constitution. In this interview, the PM openly said that the government is working to welfare its citizens.
He also stated, If anybody proves that the government’s laws and policies are anti-citizens, the government is ready to review all of these laws. However, the government will not allow any anti-Georgia agenda of the opposition.
