Tbilisi: The President of Republic of Georgia announced that she will file a complaint in constitutional court of country. According to her she will challenge the gross violation of the ballot secrecy and voting universality by member of ruling party in October 26 elections.
It is to be added that since the day one after the Georgian Dream once again comes to power, the President of Georgia is very critical to the development. As per President this is very sad to see that a government in power manipulate the election process to influence the public opinion in their favour.
President revealed her plan in this direction at a press conference. According to her although she have lost faith in Georgian institution independence. However she will file the complaint against the election results.
President called her move just to test the independence of law officers of Georgia. As per the President she has decide to proceed in this direction being elected by common people of Georgia. This is now my responsibility to raise the voice of Georgian people.
President claimed neither she nor any other single opposition party have recognised the legitimacy of election results. Moreover, the President also referred to the comments of many non-governmental organisation and civil society organisation to prove that no one have accepted the election results which showed the unnecessary victory of the Georgian Dream.
She said in her statement that we are facing tough resistance at multiple fronts. This act of election results manipulation is very undemocratic and we cannot tolerate it for the establishment of health society.
The negative effects of such kind of illegal act used to occurs when any country of world choose to stay isolated instead to maintain good relationship with the partner country.
In the end of his statement, she urged all the opposition parties to come under single platform so that democracy and democratic institution on country and be protected for greater future of our beloved Georgia.
She also expressed hopes that the result of this complaint will be very important as it will tell us how independent judicial institutions of country.
