Georgia: “Khachapuri is the best Georgian wine with an amazing aroma”, – this is the assessment made by German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, Jem Ozdemir, at the Georgian Stand, at the International Exhibition “Green Week 2023”, where he was hosted by Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, – mentioned in the German edition Allgemeine Zeitung.
 In Berlin, at one of the largest international exhibitions of food, agriculture and gardening in the world, “Green Week 2023” (Grüne Woche 2023), with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, Georgia, was presented.Â
On the stand, 16 Georgian companies had introduced their products to exhibition visitors. The majority of participating companies are beneficiaries of state programs.
 It is noteworthy that the products presented on the Georgian stand have earned the special interest and likes of the high-ranking guests and visitors of the exhibition.
Georgian stand was visited by the German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, German Green Party Leader Jem Ozdemir, Berlin Mayor, Member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Francesca Gifey and European Commissioner for Agriculture Yanush Vocchievsky.Â
Minister of Environment and Agriculture Otar Shamugia hosted guests, introduced Georgian products and tasted traditional dishes with Georgian wine.
Jem Ozdemir and Francesca Gifey unanimously admitted that among the dishes presented at the exhibition, Georgian Khachapuri was particularly delicious, and in the homeland of wine, Georgia, wine has a distinctive aroma and taste.
During his visit to the Georgian stand, German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, Jem Ozdemir emphasized that Germany supports Georgia’s integration into the EU.
The Georgian agro-food products at the exhibition received a large-scale coverage and appreciation from the worldwide. Not just the citizens but the media outlets as well, hailed the taste and the quality of the Georgian food products.
