Get a chance to become the winner of the National Award of the Best Volunteer of the Year 2024. The event will be held with the support of the Youth Agency and organized by “Helping Hand“.
General Manager of Helping Hand, Nino Todua, and Deputy Head of Program Management Department of Youth Agency Veriko Ghelisupali talked about the objectives, participation, and criteria of the competition in “Morning Space“.
The National Award for the Best Volunteer of Uli was established in 2020, received a traditional face, and has been celebrated every year since.
The goal of establishing the tradition of the National Volunteer of the Year Award is to support and encourage youth volunteering, as well as express gratitude to citizens who selflessly help needy groups, socially vulnerable, or people with different needs.
Winners will be selected in two age categories – adults (13-18) and youth (19-29) groups, and the awards will be distributed according to different themes – education, human rights, social sphere, volunteer development, sport, and healthy living, environmental volunteering, etc.

The nominations for the best volunteers of the year 2024 are open until November 22 and will be accepted till then.
The best volunteers will be identified by a special commission throughout Georgia, and the volunteer awards will be held on December 5, 2024.

The winners of the National Volunteer Award were announced for the first time in 2020, as part of the program – “Youth Volunteering in Response to COVID-19 in Georgia“. After 2020, the competition was given a traditional face and is celebrated every year.
