Georgia: Giorgi Amilakhvar, the Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, hosted the International Education Center’s scholarships for 2024-2025.
The Minister addressed the audience with a welcome speech, congratulated the young people on receiving scholarships, and wished them success.
It is noteworthy that the scholarship of the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, established on the initiative of Giorgi Amilakhvari, was awarded this year to the winner of the state grant program “International Master Programs 2024-2025” and the student with the best results, Nikoloz Evgenidze.
Nikoloz Evgenidze will continue his studies at the University of Columbia, USA, in the Master’s Program of Engineering and Operational Research. According to the Minister, he will receive a monthly scholarship of 300 euros for one academic year.
The executive director of the International Education Center, Nunu Mitskevich, the ambassadors of France, Italy, and China, and the representatives of the US, Hungary, and Armenian embassies also spoke to the scholars at the event.

In order to promote education abroad, in 2024 the International Center for Education of the International Center for SIP announced 12 grant/scholarship programs.
For the academic year 2024-2025, 176 Georgian citizens were selected as winners of competitions held within the framework of undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, and qualification programs. The annual budget of state educational grants is more than 5.5 million GEL.
Since 2014, the International Education Center has been offering Georgian citizens state-funded scholarship programs that enable young people to get an education in leading universities worldwide.
The state funds master’s and doctoral programs and promotes the qualification of citizens employed in public service abroad through relevant research or vocational institutions.
In 2014-2024, the International Center for Education funded more than 1250 Georgian citizens to study abroad, with a budget of 47 million Gel.
