Tbilisi:Â Giorgi Amilakhvar the Georgian Minister of Education, science, and Youth, meets Mark Clayton, the British Ambassador to Georgia. During the meeting, both discussed the joint educational projects that are being implemented with British given met support in Georgia.
It is to be specifically mentioned that both sides discussed joint educational projects as well as the issues of deepening cooperation in higher education and future plans.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Giorgi Amilakhvar thanked Mark Clayton for supporting the Georgian education system. He said that in recent years, a number of important and large-scale projects have been implemented with the help of the British government. He also said that without the cooperation of the Brits government, it is difficult for the country to make any solid progress in this direction.
It was also discussed during the meeting that financial support from the British Council is very important for the overall development of the education sector of Georgia. The meeting also aims to develop British-Georgian cooperation in the higher education sector. On the sidelines of this meeting, the participants of the meeting also discussed the details of the World Education Forum, which will be held in London in May this year.
Georgian minister speaking on the occasion also said that this is very important to make the educational sector stronger and stable.Â
He also said that the Georgian Government is always determined to boost the education sector of the country. He also said that the education sector plays an important role in the development of any country. He said that there would be no dearth of financial assistance for the education sector of the country in future as well.
On his part, the ambassador of Great Britain thanked Giorgi Amilakhvari for the fruitful cooperation and confirmed once again the readiness to implement joint initiatives. The meeting was also attended by Zaza Purtseladze, the head of the South Caucasus mission of the United Kingdom Council.
