Giorgi Amilakhvari, Tamar Taliashvili getting cognizant of academic process in Batumi Universities

Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science, and Tamar Taliashvili, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, participated in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding within the framework of the three-year partnership program of the Norwegian Government of, UNICEF and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Within the framework of the three-year partnership program of the Government of Norway, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the memorandum was signed by Ghasan Khalil, UNICEF Representative and Maia Khajishvili, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara.

Memorandum for the establishment of inclusive educational resource centres (art therapy space) in two schools of Keda and Kobuleti municipalities by September 2022, upgrading of inclusive educational centres in pilot schools, Provides coaching.



According to Giorgi Amilakhvari, it is important for resource centres to provide non-formal education services for children with special needs and disabilities after school hours.

“The project will help actively involve children in the education process and achieve improved learning outcomes,” said Giorgi Amilakhvari.

Moreover, today they also visited N6 Public School and its new building, the construction of which was carried out within the framework of the program “Improvement of Public School Infrastructure” of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara.

The additional building is designed for 540 students and is fully adapted to people with disabilities by modern standards.

Giorgi Amilakhvari, Tamar Taliashvili and Maia Khajishvili also attended the vocational college “Blexi”, where they got acquainted with the educational process.
