Georgia: Giorgi Jincharadze, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia visited the construction sites of the public schools and got acquainted with the rehabilitation works of Sakobo and Samreklo public schools in the Kakheti region.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of their visit on its official Facebook page on February 9, 2025, Sunday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the minister’s visit.
During his visit to the construction site, the Minister was accompanied by the Chairman of the City Council David Durglishvili, and the Mayor of Dedoplistskaro Nikoloz Janiashvili.
According to the information shared by the ministry, it should be noted that both the school buildings will have science and computer laboratories, a library, a canteen, a resource room, and a doctor’s office, as well as sports and activity halls will function together with learning spaces.
It should be noted that the total cost of rehabilitation of Sakobo public school with 500 pupils and Samreklo public school with 400 pupils is up to 10 million GEL.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth works with the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency to carry out school construction with the assistance of the Georgian government.
At the school’s building site, the minister and other delegation members looked over the site designs. In order to finish the work by the deadline, they also communicated with the representative of the building business. However, the representative of the corporation was also informed about the several facets of the ongoing project.
Construction/rehabilitation works are actively underway throughout the country to develop school infrastructure. As a result, by the end of the year, 100 public schools will have completely renovated buildings in accordance with modern standards.
The local people thanked Giorgi Jhincharadze saying that this would benefit the local students and solve the problems of local school children who faced multiple problems. Social media users also reacted to the Facebook post. They lauded the government’s efforts to provide students with world-class educational facilities.
