The Executive Director of Sakstat Gogita Todradze participated in the Asia-Pacific Region High-Level Working Meeting, which was held from July 14-16 in India. It is going on in New Delhi.
The National Statistics Office of Georgia shared glimpses of the Asia-Pacific Conference on its Official Facebook page on July 16, 2025, Wednesday. The information related to the conference was also posted along with its glimpses.
The event is organized by the United Nations Statistical Authority (UNSD) and the Statistical Institute of Asia and the Pacific (UN SIAP), with the participation of the heads of the Statistical Service of 16 countries of the region.
The conference is devoted to the theme: “Data Ethics, Management and Quality in the Changing Data Ecosystem”, which is organized into four thematic sessions: the evolutionary role of the National Statistical Service, modernization of institutional and organizational frameworks, quality assurance of official statistics, and the implementation of modern methods of producing official statistics. The sessions are conducted with interactive group discussions and sharing of experiences.
In addition to reporting and participating in panel discussions, Gogita Todradze will also lead one of the sessions aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the National Statistical Service to tackle the rapidly changing data landscape and the growing demands for official statistics.
Participation in this event is an important opportunity for Georgia to gain international experience and learn the latest standards. Participation in such meetings contributes to the modernization of the country’s statistical system, implementation of data ethics and quality standards, and deepening regional cooperation.
The recommendations and best practices received after the event will help statistical services set further strategic directions and improve the quality of statistical services.
