Gori, Georgia: The seventeenth International Scientific Conference “Education and Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Prospects” was held at Gori State University on December 20, 2024, in hybrid mode.
The conference was opened, and participants and guests were welcomed by the rector of Gori State University, Professor Alexander Mghebrishvili. The rector of the University thanked the representatives of Georgia and abroad higher educational institutions participating in the International Scientific Conference and wished them success.
The participants of the conference were welcomed: the Head of Administration of Gori State University David Kvernadze, the Head of the University Quality Assurance Service, Professor Levan Midodashvili, the Head of the Learning Process Management Service of the University, Professor Tsuri Duruli. At the plenary session, Gori State University professor Eldar Mamistvalishvili read a report on the topic “Christforo de Castelli in Gori“.
The conference program featured reports from 110 authors/co-authors who continued to work after the plenary session in the sections of: history, philology, social sciences and law, business and economics, education, natural sciences, mathematics and computer science.
The goals of the conference include:
- Investigation and analysis of how AI is changing communication methods in contemporary education while taking human-machine relationship dynamics into account;
- Investigation of communication pedagogy in the context of human-machine collaboration, discovery of interaction models and algorithms, communication tactics, and incorporation of AI into the teaching and learning process;
- The relationship between AI, education, and social values is critically examined, and the ethical dilemmas and effects of societal change are discussed.
Gori State University (GSU)
Established as a result of the merger of two high education institutions, Gori State University and Tskhinvali State University, Gori State Teaching University is a center for education and science located in Shida Kartli in the Gori Municipality of Georgia.
