A summer camp was organized for the students in the village of Gormi in the Guria region. On this occasion 50 students from different schools participated in multiple activities.
It is worth noting that summer camps used to be held by the administrations of schools and some social organisations. The main objective of all these camps was to give children opportunities. The children availing these opportunities can explore their hidden potential as well. These 50 students from 20 partner schools who attended the summer camp got acquainted with project writing techniques.
After learning the techniques the students developed projects on topics relevant to them. The participating students also participated in a quiz on civic education and other fun activities. The students enjoyed the camp’s activities. A big electronic screen was also installed on the spot to provide information to students from different schools. The students were very happy to be part of the summer camp.
While participating in the activities they created many attractive projects as well. The group activities were the main attraction for the camp students. Notably representatives of USAID (United States Agency of International Development) were also present on the campsite.
They also apprised the students about the projects being executed by the Agency USIAD for the welfare of the different sections of the Georgian Society. The students also carried notebooks with them. They recorded the main points in their respective notebooks. The students also learned about the social problems of the country that need immediate attention.
They prepared a paper chart to raise public awareness of national interest issues. The organizer of the camp speaking on the camp’s success added that this is the best way to apprise the students about the country’s problems. Moreover students also got to present their extraordinary skills before the world.
