It is worth mentioning that children with special needs are often subject to discrimination on different occasions in their daily lives.  The key speaker of the day  further added that the parents have a great role to play so that the children with special needs can live their life without any discrimination.

On the other hand  the speakers also urged the local authorities and the central government to introduce a new provision for the protection of these rights across the country.   It was also stressed that we need to change the mindset of these people and try to help them overcome their challenges. Moreover if proper initiative is taken for these people, there are huge chances that they can be turned into national assets instead of liabilities as well.

On the other hand, at the end of the meeting, the present listeners had the opportunity to ask questions and receive competent answers from the experts . As the organizers of the meeting    added, “We were given the opportunity to hold a meeting within the framework of the project “Rights-based and needs-oriented therapeutic services for children with special needs, which is financed by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Georgia  from the Lithuanian Development Cooperation Program Fund.”

The project is also being implemented by Habitat for Equity Achievement and Development (HEAD). The attendees also thanked the experts for the valuable information they shared with them during the training.
