Tbilisi: The international black sea university of Georgia has hosted a workshop on green economy. The workshop was held by the University’s department of international relations.
It is worth to note that this important workshop was held under the framework of Eramus+ Project. The projects also coves issues such as Innovation of the Structure and Content of Education in Economics and Management with a Focus on Digitalization, Sustainability and Migrant Integration.
The official Facebook page of ISBU stated, “IBSU International Relations Department hosted a workshop on ‘Green Economy’, which was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Innovation of the Structure and Content of Education in Economics and Management with a Focus on Digitalization, Sustainability and Migrant Integration.”
On this occasion the IBSU Professor Ramaz Gerliani, experts, teachers and students developed a future textbook on the topic of ‘Green Economy’. Professor Ramaz Gerliani presented the teaching material developed within the framework of the project, which aims to deepen the principles of sustainable development and ‘Green Economy’ also.
It is to be noted that the workshop includes interactive session in which opportunity was provided to attendees to exchange ideas with each other. The official said that this collected data can be used in the final version of the textbooks.
As per the information the event also reflected the broader goal of the ISCEM project. This important project is aimed to modernize educational structures and content so that they adapt to the demands of the development, sustainability and inclusiveness of the global economy.
The ‘green economy’ as a cornerstone of long-term development, remains one of the priorities and active cooperation between students and specialists contributes to achieving this goal.
The term green economy gains momentum recently with the rise of global temperature and issues of climate change. The green economy on other words means execution of economic activities along while reducing risk of natural resources. The Georgian government is also taking many initiatives for the development in direction of green economy.
