The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Irakli Karseladze, held bilateral meetings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on November 5, 2024.
The conference is hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and attended by field ministers from Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Kuwait, Nepal, and the Maldives, representatives of the International Road Federation (IRF), and specialists from technological universities in different countries.
The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Irakli lKarseladze, was on a working visit to Saudi Arabia. He also spoke at the Conference on Road Safety and Sustainable Development in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Monday, November 4, 2024.
In the meeting with Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Alexis Wafidi, Minister of Transport of Cyprus, the parties noted the importance of the ongoing conference, shared the results and plans for road infrastructure development, and discussed prospects for future cooperation.
“At the international conference, we held interesting bilateral meetings with ministers from colleagues in Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, and Kuwait. We talked about the progress of ongoing projects and shared the successful experiences of countries in terms of infrastructure development. We talked about road safety and innovation development topics and the practical implementation and use of smart technologies and management systems. We have shared a successful experience.
