The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Irakli Karseladze, met the Saudi Arabia Development Fund official during his work visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“We had an interesting and fruitful meeting with the Saudi Arabia Development Fund, sharing information on both completed, ongoing, and planned infrastructural projects. The Saudi Arabian Development Fund must be a rich organization with a long history of implementing important projects worldwide. With this progress and the results achieved, deepening our relationships further and implementing new projects together will be very interesting. “There is indeed a basis for this; this collaboration can cover the diverse projects we have, both in the fields of road and water supply, municipal and regional development,” said Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Deputy Executive Director of Saudi Arabia’s Development Fund (SFD) Faizal Mohammed Al., after meeting katani.
The meeting was held in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of the Conference on Road Safety and Sustainable Development.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the ongoing conference, shared the results and plans for developing infrastructure projects in their countries, and discussed prospects for future cooperation.
The results shared by the Georgian side of Saudi Arabia’s Development Foundation were highly evaluated and expressed readiness to take active participation in the further development process of Georgia.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Koba Gabunia and Chairman of the Department of Roads Giorgi Tsereteli.
The Conference on Road Safety and Sustainable Development has been going on in Riyadh for several days. It is hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference is attended by field ministers from different countries, representatives of the International Road Federation (IRF), and relevant specialists.
