Georgia: The ceremonial event for the 2024 graduates of the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili State University. The event was graced by the presence of the Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Giorgi Amilakhvar, adding a significant touch to the occasion.
In his address to the attending community, the Minister congratulated the graduates on their academic achievements. He encouraged them to continue their pursuit of knowledge and contribute to society, inspiring them for their future endeavors.
In the framework of the graduation event, the most successful graduates of all seven faculties of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 2024 were awarded; the Minister and the Rector of Tbilisi State University, Jaba Samushia, gave their respective prizes.
The Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili and Gela Geladze, the Director of the National Center for Development of Education Quality Development, Aleksandre Tsuladze, members of the Academic Council, and deans of faculties also took part in the event.
Before the graduation event, young people could take memorable pictures in specially arranged photo zones in the yard of TSU’s first building. After the graduation ceremony, a party was held at Turtle Lake, where various musical groups cared for the young people’s entertainment.
It is a testament to the academic excellence of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, where up to 3600 students graduated this year. With its 240 educational programs, including FIBAA and ABET international accreditations and 27 foreign programs, the university continues to be a beacon of higher education.
Since its first graduation in 1922, Tbilisi State University has been a cradle of knowledge, nurturing more than 300,000 students. As we look forward to the new academic year 2024-2025, the university is set to welcome more than 8,200 first-year students, continuing its legacy of academic excellence.
