In Gldani district, on Lebanon Street, near N6 residential building and N119 public school, the hardening of the slope has begun. Currently, the ground is being constructed, where a 40-meter-long rustic wall will be installed.

The geological situation assessment in the mentioned area has determined that emergency preventive measures are necessary to prevent the threats caused by landslides.

The Tbilsi City Hall shared the glimpses of the ongoing works on its official Facebook Page on March 9, 2026, Monday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the works along with its glimpses.

Acoording to the small note shared by the Tbilisi City Hall, it should be noted that the Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze got acquainted with Deputy Irakli Bendeliani about the progress of the works.

“The area near Lebanon Street is under construction. This space, which was initially a big problem for the people living here, needs to be completely regulated. Within the framework of the works, a drainage network will be installed, and at the end, a 40-meter-long rustic wall will be built near the school, which will make this area completely safe. It will take about 4-5 months to complete the works. Road infrastructure will also be regulated, which is a problem for today. The motorway has been repaired several times, but due to the drought area, it is still damaged. Public transport is also difficult to get around. After the completion of the project, it will all be organized and corrected,” Kakha Kaladze said.

As part of the project, to manage surface and groundwater, a reinforced concrete sewage system is planned to be installed, which will significantly reduce one of the main factors of sewage processes. Works, which cost two million GEL, are carried out by the Infrastructure Development Civil Service of Tbilisi City Hall.

Along with the mayor of the capital, Giorgi Abutidze, the head of the civil service for infrastructure development, Besik Kaladze, Gldani’s majority deputy Shalva Ogbaidze were present.
