Imelda Vasadze, the first deputy mayor of the Keda municipality congratulated the citizens on the holy easter day. He visited the needy families of the municipality and distributed the food items to twenty-five beneficiaries of the locality as well.
The help extended to the needy family was part of the cultural events. These cultural events are usually held in the areas of education, culture, sports, tourism, youth affairs, etc.It is to be added that the followers of the orthodox church in Georgia and other parts of the world celebrated easter day, which falls on 05 May this year. This is celebrated as the day of resurrection of the Martyred Christian.
To mark this day as the victory over death the people gather in the churches across Georgia. Moreover, the boiled eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Jesus who sacrificed for the sins of others. The people of Georgia also visited the graveyard on the grave of their beloved one to commemorate the memory of their expired family members as well.
Imelda Vasadze the first deputy mayor along with many others brought along with their bags of food and other essential items. There were also easter gifts in these bags to be distributed among the needy families of the Keda municipality. Imelda Vasadze himself carried the bags full of items to the families.
While sharing his thoughts with the group of families he said that this day is a reminder for all of us the always keep the mind the great scarify made by Christ. He also listened to the problems of the families and assured them that the problems would be solved as soon as possible shortly.
On the other hand the families that received the gifts also extended their gratitude to the Keda municipality as well as Imeda Vasadze for this noble cause.
