The Chairman of the Adjara government, Zurab Pataradze, met with the population of the village of Ghorjomi and Daba Khulo in Khulo municipality. The chairman of the government also visited local families, heard about the needs of locals, and the challenges facing the municipality.
The Government of Adjara also shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on May 23, 2026. The Government also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
Zurab Pataradze noted that the main goal of the government is to strengthen the mountain, which needs to support small and medium-sized businesses and the development of tourist infrastructure. According to him, it is important for every family to be able to live a decent life, have employment, and earn more income in their own village.
The Chairman said, “We had a very warm meeting with the people of the Highlands. Resort Goderdzi is a good example of how important it is to attract investment in the mountains. Along with this process, important infrastructural projects such as gasification of villages, roads, and environmental protection will continue actively – we need to take care of our forests and natural resources as deforestation causes hazards and thus massive migration from municipalities.”
“In addition, we pay special attention to “ours”. Together we will definitely go to Samtshe-Javakheti, Tsalka, Kakheti, Nasakiral, Zodi – we will meet our ecomigrants everywhere and make them feel that the Adjara government is with them,” – said Zurab Pataradze.
During the meetings, they focused on the tourism potential of Khulo Municipality and noted that the government will pay special attention to the promotion of Besumi, Green Lake, Black Lake, and Alpine Botanical Garden.
According to Zurab Pataradze, work will continue actively in all six municipalities of Adjara to create more success and more opportunities for the population of the region.
