Kutaisi, Georgia: The Kutaisi International University (KIU) hosted representatives of the international legal consulting company Andersen Georgia on June 9, 2025, Monday. Notably, the members of the company were on a working visit to the Kutaisi International University.
During the visit, KIU and Andersen Georgia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at promoting student professional and career development.
The document was signed by Professor Paata Turava, acting rector of Kutaisi International University, and Giorgi Svanadze, director of Andersen Georgia.
According to the memorandum, KIU students will have a unique opportunity to do internships at one of the leading law and consulting firms. In addition, the parties will collaborate on KIU’s new undergraduate program “Law”, which in turn involves promoting both educational and scientific research activities.
The Kutaisi International University shared glimpses of the Signing ceremony on its Official Facebook page. The University also shared a small note along with the photographs.
According to the information shared by KIU, it should be noted that after signing the memorandum, which was organized by Andersen Georgia, an expanded information meeting was held at KIU.
The meeting was attended by representatives of public and private sectors, as well as business companies. During the meeting, Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University, presented a report on the promotion of the University’s activities, new educational programs, and student career development.
It is also noteworthy that the representatives of Andersen Georgia held a presentation in Kutaisi about the plans and future activities of the newly opened office; a training was held for all interested parties, which was dedicated to labor and tax issues. Additionally, it should be noted that KIU is funded by the International-Charitable Foundation “Kartu”.
