The Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, met with residents of Meskhishvili Street to discuss the implementation of a large-scale project: the rehabilitation of Meskhishvili Street. The meeting was held on July 17, 2025, on Thursday.
The Mayor shared the glimpses of the meeting on the official Facebook page along with some details related to the meeting. According to the details provided by the Rustavi Mayor, it should be noted that, in recent years, in Rustavi, reinforcement-rehabilitation of 56 buildings was carried out. The Rustavi City Hall team, with the support of the Georgian government, they are starting another large-scale project.
Nino Latsabidze noted, “Today, we had a meeting with the residents on the mentioned street. The buildings that have been around for years will be reinforced. Once the works are completed, these residential buildings will become much safer, and the visual appearance will be improved. In the process of rehabilitation of facades, energy-efficient materials will be used, and thus the utility costs of our population will be saved.”
The Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, also introduced the details of the infrastructure project to the residents of Meskhishvili Street, Deputy Mayor Besik Togonidze, and Head of Infrastructure and Transport Development Service Zura Tabagua in a working format.
Within the framework of the project, at the first stage, Meskhishvili’s N4 and N5 residential buildings will be rehabilitated. Facades will be wrapped with heat insulation material, which ensures the energy efficiency of the residential building. The project also includes the installation of new metal-plastic windows and a complete renovation of balconies.
In the last four years, in Rustavi, 56 buildings have been rehabilitated; at this stage, the works are being carried out on 6 residential buildings. The cost of the infrastructure project is 2,498,787 GEL and is financed from the state budget.
