Washington, D.C., United States: The Georgian Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, is in the United States of America, participating in the annual spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The meetings are taking place from April 13 to 18, 2026.
The Finance Ministry of Georgia shared the glimpses of the annual spring meetings on its official Facebook Page on April 13, 2026, Monday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
During the visit, the Minister of Finance will hold meetings with the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Boley, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, Antonella Basani, World Bank Managing Director, Anna Beardes, World Bank Executive Director, Eugene Rugenaath, IMF Executive Directors With Nierun Klick and Alternative Director, Marnix Van Rey, With Jihad Azur, Director, IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department.
Lasha Khutsishvili will participate in the meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Member Countries Group (Constituency). There will be a meeting between the ministers of finance and presidents of central banks of the Caucasus and Central Asian region with the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Bo Li. The Minister of Finance will also take part in the round table organized by the SSF, dedicated to the regional economic review.
The meetings are planned with representatives of international financial institutions and donor organizations, ratings, and large investment companies.
The Deputy Ministers Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, Head of State Debt Management Department Irakli Kacharava, will participate in the meetings on behalf of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
