Georgia: Georgia’s Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, held a crucial meeting with the newly appointed Italian Emergency and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Georgia, Massimiliano D’Antuono.

Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze‘s active participation in the discussions further enriched the meeting.

The Minister congratulated the guest on starting diplomatic service in Georgia and wished him success.

The parties discussed Georgia’s economic growth and macro-fiscal indicators, reviewed bilateral cooperation issues in trade-economic areas, and expressed their willingness to continue the partnership between the two countries, which will contribute to further activating the cooperation between Italian and Georgian business companies.

The conversation touched on Georgia’s steps towards European integration and Italy’s support for Georgia as one of the founding countries of the European Union.

H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia, held an introductory meeting with H.E. Massimiliano D’Antuono, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Georgia on July 25, 2024, Friday.

Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance, attended the meeting as well.

The Minister warmly congratulated the Ambassador on his new role in Georgia and expressed his sincere wishes for a successful tenure.

The dignitaries discussed Georgia’s economic growth and macro-fiscal indicators and reviewed bilateral cooperation in trade and financial directions. They expressed readiness to continue the partnership between the two countries and further enhance the collaboration between Italian and Georgian businesses.

The conversation also touched upon Georgia’s steps towards European integration and Italy’s support for the country as one of the founding members of the European Union.

Lasha Khutsishvili

Lasha Khutsishvili, born September 2, 1985, is a Georgian politician who has been the Minister of Finance of Georgia since April 1, 2021.

He was educated at the European High School of Management-Tbilisi (Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration) and Preston University (Bachelor of Arts in General Management).
